DKiG: Oxide or corrosion in the item

I have in my hands a DKiG and observe that it she has signs of corrosion between both stars that form the award. Does someone know how to neutralize the above mentioned corrosion?

I don't think this is a serious issue considering the metals involved. You should clean it with a soft brush, not more.
