    Army Honor Roll Clasp

As I post these, I would refer you as well to the following posted by Nan Su.

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ht=honor+clasp

I know some prefer to see the flat short prongs, but Nan Su posted one that had very thin wire prongs, notably in his post #6. Mine shares that style as well. Nan's were looked upon favorably.

I post mine as well for opinions. the cloth did not glow under black light.

In my opinion these are the latest fakes, orgin unknown but do a search and form your own opinions.

Any other thoughts? The pin looks cast to me with detail that is a bit too rough under zoom to make me feel good about it.

I'm not too keen on it either. The quality just isn't what it should be and the 'orangey' gilding looks 'modern', if you know what I mean.

Flat pins should only be found on the Luft Clasp, not the Navy or Army. The pins on the Army should be round but from memory think they should be blunt ended not pointed like the navy and those shown

This clasp shown with the solid swastika proports to be of the Klein type however IMO it is not original. If you compare this to the original shown below you can see some differences in the ribbon and oakleaves either side of the ribbon.

Above assumes the Klein were the only manufacturer of this type of clasp (solid swastika)

                        -

IMO not original (the first clasp).

                          I agree. Not original.
