    Mint EK2 Klein und Quenzer

    Hello

I have just got this nice, and in my opinion, mint EK2 by, I believe, Klein und Quenzer, maker '65'. There is a little bit of tarnish showing in places on the rim, but all the paint and frosting is intact. The cross is three piece construction, magnetic core and measures 44.30mm x 44.56mm. The ring stamp is a bit hard to see and is different to those I have seen on K&Q EK2s previously.

As usual, any comments and observations welcomed.

    Thanks.

    Regards
    David

I think that is a very nice piece by "4" Steinhauer & Luck.

          Hello

Thanks Peter. I compared this one to others in my collection, and I thought it actually matched a ring stamped K&Q that I have, hence my description of it. I shall now find some S&L EK2s to compare against. If it is an S&L then that's another ticked of my list of EKs to get !!

          Regards

            Dear David,

I agree with Peter a very nice "4" marked S&L. Congrats!

If you can find a K&Q in that condition that would be quite a find. I don't believe I have ever seen a K&Q with that type of frosting and frame finish. From what I observed most of the K&Qs were not made/did not survive the past 60 years with that type of white finish.
