    KVK1 Marked L/21 - Twice

I've had this for some time now and have never really gotten around to properly checking it out.

I'm sure that there are plenty out there but I've just not seen them probably because I'm more into combat awards.

It's a double marked KVK1 on the body and the pin.

I'm thinking of selling it on so comment before hand would be welcomed.

    Thanking in advance.

Wow. Very interesting. I can only say the pin matches the KM awards I've seen by this maker. I'd say the double marking is quite rare...

                Thanks Andy,

I'm seriously thinking of sellling this one - it looks OK to me but I would like more opinions before I do.

The thing is that I have yet to see another KVK cross like this one - it appears to be zink based and the size of the integral hinge assemble is unique on a cross like this as far as I know.

I have seen somewhere this makers marks on Kreigsmarine badges.

Hoping someone with good KVK expertise can throw some light on it.

A little late perhaps but a borrowed pic of a brother.

Those would make a nice pair to have...

Sure thing. Got a L/21 ws but "only" marked once on the pin.

                        Hello there,

Did either of you ever try to match this pair?

                          Hello,

                          for me quite OK.
You can encounter this one from time to time with a plain reverse and a soldered hindge and catch as well.

                          Best Franki

                            Hi Bill,

I unexpectedly find myself in a position to add to this thread.

The KVK was sold some years ago to a prominient collector and author of TR awards who no longer contributes to the WAF.

                            Regards

                            Chris
