Your pictures are somewhat blurred, so I can't really see the detail, and the head is slightly strange. That said, the date box and numerals appear to match up to some known originals, the legs and claws also seem to match up with known good ones and the spacings between the head and the inner edges of the wings are good. The detailing on the wings, from what I can make out, looks good and the bar is balanced in shape and dimensions. There are some fake bars out there which are very good copies, and look similar to this one, but I don't think this is one of the fakes - although I could be wrong.

So on that basis, overall, in my opinion, this one is good.

it's beyond me to say either way, but I've love to hear everyones thoughts on these again

if it would be to add an ek2 spange into my collection, i would wait for another one to come along. if it was to complete an especific set, i would consider it. it has good points to it, but i cant get over the head details. when i buy items, it is always in the back of mind, how easily would it be to sell it off if i needed to? i dont think this one would be one to go quickly.

Hi guys have to say the pics are not the best but I am not that keen on this type, mainly in my opinion poor detail to the wreath, not your standard type eagle, and the style of date. Have come across a couple of these at local shows and for me they just do not ring true. Has anybody got any firm evidence on these? all the best

EKII Spange

wyatt, that spange is questionable at best, I don't know what your spending limit is but there are some reputable dealers out there you can at least go look at theirs. emedals.ca , collectortocollectormilitaria.com, lakesidetrader.com and germanmilitaria.com (The Collectors Guild).
