I know it's a long shot but I think it's worth a try. As you maybe know, there was a break in at the Gunzenhausen Show and quite a lot of things were stolen.

I will post for Helmut two of his crosses which were taken. If or when anybody sees them reappear, please contact Helmut Weitze.

We as a community should try to help in the recovery - if possible at all!

Sad isn't it when it has to come to this. When you look at the last couple of rip off's posted here it's obvious these guys know what to look for. The average thief wouldn't know the difference in my opinion. Hopefully this stuff will resurface and be returned to the rightful owner. I wouldn't want it in my collection under those circumstances anyway. Much rather have an honestly aquired run of the mill EK2.

Weitze is offering a reward off 25.000 euro to the guy or woman who can give the hint or tip to the actual thief.

They did not only steel KC's ...
This is the list :
3 KC's ...
2 Waffen SS camo jackets 1 panzer 1 paratrooper...
All overseas caps WW2...
Several M43 caps especially Panzer...
Waffen SS M42 helmet...
And all LW flight bars ...

Get one thing strait here ?

Impossible the work off one man !
Including the things from philippe militaria , he should have at least to big sports bag's .
And where was the security .
This is bigger than we think .
Sadly but true .
Some off us have to save a big time for ONE off these item's.

One thing I also find strange , no edged weapons ...
Or is this on a command for sommeone ?
All item's are well chosen dont you think ?
And no daggers , I find that verry strange.

I'd imagine it will be unlikely to recover these stolen items, they've probably been stolen to 'order' or individual/s in mind shall we say and will end up in Russia or god only knows where ???

Give it a few years though and one or two may surface, only time will tell on that.

Thats not a case I'd forget !!!

No fun in having these stolen items, you can't post them or show them off to friends and collectors alike. I actually keep mine in a bank as it is for fear of theft, fire etc !!!

I'd suggest all the dealers that had stuff stolen perhaps post their wares in the collector community forum in detail, so our world wide base of eyes can keep a look out.

If you find one stolen item, just maybe in the needle and haystack of events you could trace the single award, case or head gear item or what ever it maybe back to a source of some information etc.......???? I wouldn't hold my breath, but you never know.

Dealers and shows one minute: next it could be your home this is the interent after all and in this day and age !!!
