I have seen handled a few of these but have to say that Cassidy's is the finest I have seen/handled.
Most of the 26s have some minor bubbling to the blackened finish to the core, but Cassidy's is perfect. The only ones that could compare are probably in Mike Everett's collection...and he had a zillion of them! (he kept 3 of the best ones)
I have seen 26's every once and a while, they continue to climb in price (more than the average EK1 from what i have seen) They are still sold within moments. Very desirable. I wish I had bought a bunch when Col. Everett had them and when they were a lot cheaper.

Gary is quite right - look at mine and you will see on the 9 O'Clock arm two small bubbles. It's still a nice cross though and one of the best items in my collection.
The other thing to look out for is the case - ensure that it is the correct case for the cross and that it's condition is as close to excellent as you can get.
I have seen some of these crosses in excellent condition in the wrong or only average cases. If you want one of these for your collection then I suggest that the overall package of cross and case is given equal consideration.
