I could be all wet here, but it's my first try in helping someone identify their cross with the crosses I have. This next shot is with the glass removed. Hope this helps. I'm starting to have doubts about yours being the same now that they're both on the thread. But the crossed beading seems the same.

I could be wrong as well but I think it looks like a wide frame 24.

I thought the same thing too when I first saw it, but the beading is different. That paint really throws me off. This is where I get off and let the pros take over...

I think that we may have a match if the cross in this thread is indeed a wide frame 24. Check out this cross: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...=wide+frame+24 also, the beading at the 10 o'clock area seems to match at the closest area to the swaz. What do the pros think?

Hmmm.. Still not quite convinced but I don't have much time at work to compare photos. I'll check more thoroughly when I get home this afternoon. Thanks for the suggestions and pictures.

Does it look like the core may have had a repaint?

I don't think that the core has been repainted judging by the condition of the cross overall. It appears to possibly be unissued. I'll take a few more close ups this evening and post them and see what you think. Ive seen a few repainted ones but this one truly looks immaculate.

                      Hi Jgeary
I am leaning toward Maker # 76 because of the shape of the swaz and the paint on it. My best guess and I'm out on a limb. Its very hard sometimes to identify a cross without the dimensions and weights for aids.

Thanks for the input. I've tried to take better pictures and here they are. There is no "waffling" on the inner beading so I think it is safe to say that it is definitely not a Juncker. Hope these pictures help.

Thanks for the pictures Robert! Very nice crosses! I'll study them some more tomorrow. I'm kind of limited on time tonight. Any other opinions out there?
