    Oppinions please

    Hi

I'm seeking help to verify these two objects wich belongs to a friend of mine.

First the 1914 EK1 wich is one-piece made. It doesn't have the small dot pattern below the black paint wich usually is seen on one-piece made EK's. The hinge and pin somewhat also bothers me a bit.

Next a EK2 spange wich I belive is a poor lead fake...but still more oppinions are better than just one.

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers,
    Carsten

Reverse - very smooth and shiny with no obvious traces from being buffed...

The pieces are fakes and an insult to the original german iron cross manufacturers.

$100 says you can make nice vaulted examples of both, with your finger pressure alone

Gentlemen, thank You for confirming my worries...much appreciated Now the tough part - to break the bad news to the owner

                    Cheers,
                    Carsten

@ Darrel: The EK1 is not bendable - so atleast it can be used for a beer opener when washing down the bad news Sarcasm aside I belive he can get a refund on both items - so not so bad, though it's always a downer.
