Is that the eye/medal loop soldered to the frame ?

More likely a 20 something marked cross perhaps ?

            My frame marked L12

              Hello

The frame on your EK is a Rudolph Souval, Wien. I don't know for certain, obviously, but perhaps someone has stamped the ring at a later date to 'enhance' the value of the piece by claiming it is a Juncker.

I have only seen one other L/12 marked cross like the one George and Marcus have shown here, and that is on page 82 of 'The Iron Cross of 1939', by Gordon Williamson. Apparently these are genuine originals but marked in this manner is very rare. Either way, nice crosses. If you ever put them up for sale let me know first.

              Regards
              David

                Thanks David,

So the #2 stamped cross is ok and original?
I was wondering if that maker mark could be 21!!

                  Hello

The cross itself is, in my opinion, an original Souval. If it is stamped '21' that would still be wrong as that mark is for Gebr. Godet & Co. Rudolph Souval EKs are either unmarked or carry L/58 or 98.

                  Regards
                  David

What's the opinion on this put it up a while ago but no comment, appears to be marked 2 on the ring but placement of the 2 seems unusual as ti is over the joiin.

Cross is particularly distinctive though in that it has clear cross hatching effect on the corner beading adjacent to the Swas.

                      Another maker?
