EK 2 #4 in LDO-Etui

Hi,

i want to show you my new caset EK 2. The case and cross belong together since they were bought by the soldier. Because there is an mm 4 S&L in the case there is no stamp on the bottom. Thats my opinion. The cross is a real beauty and the Etui is in excellent condition too.

Thats a lovely set, I lke these earlier style Ldo logo cases !

In regards to the L/16 stamp and the cross. Briefly this is my thought as I have to fly now.

Certainly not all private purchase awards were Ldo marked or even when marked had an L prefix (i.e pras). My marked 3 EK2 comes in a L/11 marked case like the above and came from a small 'batch' of such awards.

So more six of one half a dozen of the other - I know this defies the 'regulations' as such, literally; but I'm of the notion it is a normal occurance to find such really.

Hi,

nice to hear your positive statements. A friend of mine don't want to collect any longer and i bought the best parts of his collection. I paid only 250 Euros for this set. Sometimes one has simply luck.
