    Knight cross L/12 marked

    Hello!

I have some question about this repro L/12 and 800 marked KC!

A guy offered it to me (correct as a repro!). It is cased, has a very fine patina, is very well made, double marked on the rim, the ring is marked with 800 and has rounded ends. The band might be original (no glowing und blacklight). Think a nice KC replacement piece, when there is no money for a real one.

    My questions:

    1. Since when such type of KC repro is on the marked?

    2. Where did such KC produced.

    3. Have they a market value and if yes, how much is it?

Many thanks for your answers in advance

    Gerd

Are you interested in selling? Good quality repro like that could go for $150-300.Someone messed it up by etching the L/12 on the frame its a poor job.

This is actually a very nice looking repro. The L/12 isn't right and the 800 looks off. If it were not for that, I would think it might be genuine. If this were $100 or less, I would buy one for my officer dummy, and for me, $100 is a LOT to pay for a reproduction.

German made copy. These started appearing on the market around 1980 and in fact use the frames from the 1957 RK with the eye dipping into the frame. (Check out the "bullet-hole" RK in "Iron Time" They were made without the L/12 mark which has been added by someone trying to "enhance" its value. I have seen a few of these, with only the 800 mark, being passed off as original. They are very nice quality, being made by an original orders/medals manufacturer.
