Iron cross first class

does anyone have seen an identical IC first class ?

The photos are really bad. Based on what i can see in these photos i say the piece is a fake. I do not like the hardware. Similar hardware can be found on genuine zink warbadges like the L/21 Foerster & Barth flak badges. Genuine "Schinkel" Iron Crosses use a similar hinge but not the same. I do not like to find this full combination on a Iron Cross though. It looks rough and random. On top of this i could not find any real finish to either the frame or reverse plate.

I have an identical one out of an estate of a Panzerjäger. IMO 100% original. If you think it is a copy i would gladly buy it out of your hands

How do you know that the Panzerj******228;ger estate cross is 100% original?

I agree with Heinrich. Although the hinge plate sits lower down the Cross than others I've seen, it definitely looks like an early piece, complete with a thinner pin.

Rough.......but nice. That'll make two of us that would take it off your hands

Hello Peter,

1. All other items, were 100% legit out of the estate.
2. The estate came from the son of the wearer.
3. I have seen once this type as a ground dug (a real ground dug)
4. G. Williamson shows this type on page 151 of his book
5. My experience from nearly 20 years collecting and passing a few hundred iron crosses through my hands tells me that this cross is good.

But this - of course - no rock solid proof that the badge is legit, but i think i'm sure it is a good one and not to often encountered on todays market. And as stated would gladly buy it
