That pretty much falls into the "better than nothing" category. Save your time and money, and send it to me.

          VERY nice!!!!

          Hank

PS - I'd call it mint.

The cross is absolutely beautiful, but it got a few minor flaws!

I would say it is (very) near mint

Near mint- note some discoloration on the reverse.

Condition is just soooooo subjective... you could ask 10 different people and get 11 different answers

I'd call it near-mint, but challenge your friend to find one in better condition

                      Dear Tiger,

Stunning piece. From the pictures of the obverse I would say this is a perfect piece, but as has been noted by Don there is some minor peppering on the reverse. So "technically" I would classify this as a near mint piece. That being said, there are hardly ANY mint pieces. Most Mint pieces have some type of minor fault/tarnish etc, and hence would rate , technically speaking, near mint. That just happens over 60 years of time. Of course there will be some exceptions, but very few. I would have this piece in my collection any day!

The piece goes now on estand as mint/near mint.
