    The Quality of Micro Casting

Just to create a higher level of awareness in the community - this is the level that can now be achieved with micro-casting. With the correct mould material the (normal) shrinking will be compensated, so there goes the 1-2 % smaller dimension.

The good new is that there is still an area where one needs to remove the excess material (sprues) and under magnification one might see very, very tiny bubbles.

Here is some more to think about. 3D scaning:

"This includes an auto-synchronized 100 micron imaging system with ±0.001"(±0.025 mm) ± 3 sigma accuracy, combined with the 1 micron geometric stability of a 10 tonne Scirocco DEA coordinate measuring machine and an 8 micron optical vernier calibration."
