    Hello Fellas,

    Thankx for the positive comments!

@ Harry, I will pm you details later this day.

    @ Peter,

@ Stan, Nice set you have there! Can you post an image of this area? Perhaps, if Bob or Harry is on they may post a similar shot of theirs?
    Thankx!
    E.

      Very Nice Stan....

I notice that these can be prone to quite dark patination, possibly because of the high silver purity, but has anyone seen anything like this???... (incidentally, this is a second patern O&S)

              Hello Harry,

Looks like the 900 21s DN had recently. Mine seem to have a blackish patina in some of the nooks & crannies. IMO its the laquer darkening w/ age. I have seen it before. I do not understand why it seems to happen on the bottom side.

              E.

Spot on there Erich...it is the one from DN. I was quite suprised by the pitch black patination. Here is a shot of mine in the region you requested...I think I know the area you are looking at

No harm in pointing out a couple of features/characteristics to look for on genuine 1st Type O&S, the fakers will not get everything right....opinions welcome on these reference points
