KVK2 ring

Forgive me if this is a ragingly dumb question: but do all original KVK2s have a soldered ring?
I've got one with an unsoldered ring; always wondered. The cross is plated zinc. No mark on ring. Thanks.

Most have it, but it is not a set in stone rule. If the cross looks good, the ring is acceptable like that.
