    Opinions EK1

    Hi Guys!
Yesterday I was going to sell two of my Ek1´s to a dealer in town, in my eyes they are fully okay, but I´m no EK expert, but he said that he had sold and seen thousends of EK´s but not this ones, he was very unsure and thought that I was trying to sell him fakes. I gave him a full return policy, but still he was unsure, so now I decided to hear your opinions! So shoot!

Sorry about the pics, they aren´t the best quality, taken with mobilephone-camera.

Both are nice, original crosses. Should sell easily!

        I agree with the others.
They are made by Souval and Deumer.

Strange that he didn't see these crosse before if he has handeld so many.
Those two makers are the most encouterd on EK1's.
        He must have handeld hundreds.

        Regards,
        Luud

          Hi,

Sounds like your dealer is trying to make you think they are fakes so you will sell them at a repro price.

I have to agree with Luud, these are common EK1s and any dealer who has seriously not seen them before does not know what they are doing - and should not be dealt with!

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

Just as a question, what kind of dealer? If he doesn't specialize in TR, I could see somebdoy being hesitant. To US they are obviously okay, but that's not to say a stamp or coin dealer (for instance) would instantly be able to I.D. them.

Nice crosses. Sell 'em on the e-stand.

He deals in all sorts of militaria, but I don´t think he is a Third reich expert. Mostly really old things, like antique swords, armors, guns and stuff.

I think they will go on e-stand for a reasonable price, will pay my membership first and then put them there.

Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it, in my eyes they were okay, but it never hurts to get more opinions.

Nice crosses...But I must say, rather nice photos for only being taken on a mobile phone camera! Maybe I'm just behind the technology curve, but what kind of mobile phone were you using?

                  Hi Paul!

I have a new mobilephone, Sony Ericsson K800i. The camera in the phone is quite good for being in a mobilephone.

                      reverse of L/11

                      Hello,

What on earth could have been done to the reverse of the L/11 to make it look that way?

Please let me know either way. Thank you.
