    Part of my numma 1 grouping: Kriegsmarine, took part in Kreta invasion, spent most of his war there. Boat sunk out from under him twice; the first by the Brit sub Torbay in '41, second in '44 by air attack. I have his EK2, cased EK1, 4 urkunden, lots of various paperwork, buncha postcards and Feldpost, and a photoalbum plus buncha loose photos. Purchased directly from his daughter, from one of the many auctions that get booted off e-Bay, just got really lucky. Paid a fair price, not too much, but not a steal either. I was fair about it.

      I can't believe no one has said "65". Seems everybody falls over themselves when one is up for sale. Personally I've never had the desire to own one of these, but they always seem to be a hot commodity

        I would say, a handwoven EK1....

        I have seen one in a huge Heer- grouping which is for auction in mid- september in germany. I am almost pretty sure I will gain this set.

                  I have sold all mine now except one, a mint cased 65. To me it always looked the best with the distinctive swastika, smooth aerodynamic pin and nice catch that made the whole package most appealing.
