The frame has some of the features of a genuine K&Q, the L12 though is wrong...

How does the frames of this piece compare to your K&Q cross with 1957 core?

Hard to tell with the pics supplied, the characteristics of K&Q are deffinitely there, though the metal of these frames looks different...like this one is not silver. Maybe it is just the lighting. Also, this beading lacks a crispness to it.....but maybe that could be due to worn frames being used to make post war re-assembled cross, I dunno. However, it does look like the frame has been 'polished' on the reverse below the eye, perhaps to obliterate a 800 mark..

IMO absoluteley crap! Have you ever seen a real L/12??? Afterwards you´ll know what I mean. I unterstand what you are thinking. In Germany we say "the wish is the father of the thoughts". :-))

                Wotan, etc...

I'm pretty sure everyone is aware it's not a Juncker... but it IS a K&Q frame, and that is what makes this interesting.

I think Pieter V. has raised an interesting question... is this possibly a one-piece? The construction quality and overall uniform 'brass' colouring of the frame and core would indicate that might be a possibility...?

Podstoli - any further info you can provide on the piece you posted would be helpful. It would be a shame if these few photo's went unresolved and merely darkened further the cloud that some are convinced hangs over K&Q's RK's...

This is a K&Q frame - there's no escaping it... and one that would probably be declared 'textbook' if it had the right core in it - so I'm a little surprised this isn't more of a story.

                Anyone have any more thoughts?

                M.
