A question about the 1939 variant of the 1914 EK1

Not sure if this should go in the Imperial section or not.

Just wanting to know why 1939 versions of the 1914 EK1 were produced and who they were given to and under what circumstances.

i have had a look but have found no answers to my questions.

    any help appreciated!

    cheers

    Dave

Mostly as replacement pieces or purchased for special occasions where they may look a tad better new than the old ragged originals.
