I see yours has the bit on the 9 as well. Mine has this, (see attached picture), and I have seen it on others by this manufacturer. Does anyone know if this is some sort of die flaw or to do with the coating ? Why does it always affect the 9 next to the 1 ?
Nice original unmarked Deumer! It appears yours is a bit earlier than the ones posted by David and Robert as yours only has the one die flaw on the left "9".
These flaws were probably due to a dirty die and progressed as time went on. It is possible to see these, both marked and unmarked versions, without any die flaws and IMO, they are the earliest ones made.
Here's another one, in mint condition, with die flaws on both "9"s. As you can see, the flaws are quite evident and IMO towards the later part of the production run.
The PICS are not the best, but this baby is fully frosted with burnished highlights; quite nice looking in hand. Enjoy!
