Differences between Schinkel + normal ek

Hi all, I'm thinking of buying a EK but looking at those crosses I noticed that there are schinkel ek's and normal ek's, can someone explain me the difference between those, don't know anything about ek's.
thank for any help and info.

Schinkels have thinner arms on the inside, and cost roughly at least double what "normal" 1939 EK 2nd classes cost. If you can find a schinkel EK1, it'll be about 3 times as much as a normal one.

Here's a comparison between a Schinkel Type A EK 2 (left), a "regular" EK 2 (center), and a third variation, the so-called Ubergrosse (right).

            Hi,

the definition of a Schinkel is that it has the form and the mass (under 44mm width and high) of a EK 2 from WW 1.
They are more rare than the later EKs because they was only awarted in the early wartime (some sources say only in the poland campaign but I have no proof for this thesis)
