    EK2 found in sand

I just want to share a couple of pictures with you.

The pictur is a EK2, it was found in the sand, near a german bunker in Hanstholm (Jutland - Denmark)

The cross itself is missing the ring but it is clearly it has been there.
    The silverframe is unmarked

I now, it is not a big value on such a cross but I think its funny, maybe you think the same.

    Enjoy the pics.

    Thomas.

                  hello,
do not be angry with me, but i have problems to believe that it was outside in the sand for so long,i have a metal detector and i´m searching for many years and i found a lot of stuff even in sandy grounds and no iron cross i found looked like yours, they all had other signs of age

Congrats on your find!! I am amazed at the condition. It looks better than a lot of crosses I have seen come from people's attics!

                          Again, great find!

Yea and then you will sell it and refere to US, no that EK have not been under ground in Denmark.

I agree with Mikael. There is no way that cross has been in the sand for 60 years. Maybe it fell out of someones pocket a week before you found it. I have seen many ek2's that had more rust on them, and they have been inside a house for the last 60 years. best wishes,
                              jeff
