Here is a nice Spanish Cross with Swords in Bronze that arrived this week. It is marked L/13 for Meybauer and has the traits one would expect to see I think. The maker mark is interesting in that it is arched. The case is marked LDO. The case and cross did not necessarily originally go together but came from the same collection that had a number of bronze crosses. It is possible they were together at one time - just don't know. They seem to make a good match though. Frank, Jacques, Sal, et.al, what do you think?

Make that an F something. Also, the only thing strange about the cross is that one eagle has two sections of the swastica cut out and the other three birds have only one.Comment

It is the first time I see such kind of L/13 stamping, nevertheless, it looks good, and the cross itself is a fine Meybauer. the shape is the same as the early Meybauer (as silver 900 + coat of arms). May be a very first LDO.

Really nice and interesting SC. I've never seen one with only one leg of the swaz's cut out, and then on only three of the eagles! Very cool.
