    First Deumer

Here's a new addition to my EK collection and my first Deumer marked EK.

It's in great shape with enough wear to see that it was worn. Onlt slight wear to the edges of the arms and to the highlights of the frosting.

IMO one of the nicer makes of the EK1

    Hope you like it

      Guys

I really like the way the catch has been made. It really screams quality! I'm happy to have this one on board!

        Hello Richard,

Very nice piece, for my own reference is it possible to get a side shot of the catch?

        Best Regards,

                Hello Bruce,

Thanks, for the profile shot on the catch. Now the question, the thing that I noticed about this catch, is the way it curls sharply and then has a diagonal cut to the opening. I noticed that a J2 pilot badge that I sold to Yuri has this same catch. In general terms is this a sign of a higher quality piece, industry standard ?
                Best Regards,

                  Hi Joe......

......that question is somewhat of a tough one. If only for the fact that we would have to ask the 'folks' at Deumer (who might be reticent to give an answer) the whys and wherefores. I would just assume that this type of construction would be a manufacturing 'style' attributable to a particular manufacturer, in this case Deumer, that perhaps could be seen as a barometer of the quality of product that they preferred to market, coupled with the experience and talents of their employees. Other than that meager speculation, I really don't know for sure.

                  -------------------------

                  Regards,
                  Bruce
