    Round "3" Iron Crosses?

I know the origin of the Schenkle Iron Crosses, but what's the story with the round "3" versions? Were these what coin collectors call "mint errors", or were they made by specific makers for some other reason?

Not a mint error, just a specific trade of manufacturers.

PS: It is called "Schinkel" not "Schenkle"

So which makers did make the round 3?

I have seen pics of them in Assmans catalog, and on medals made by Deschler. To me, when holding one it is similar in size and weight to a Deschler. Charlie
