EK2 Spange

These things have always confused me as to original vs fake. So with that in mind I need your help and would appreciate your opinions on the following spange.

I do not have a 'known original' on file that matches, and so I cannot say 100%
but with everything I know about these: IMO it's a good one
any markings or a reverse shot?

There is no makers mark.

Here is the best I can do to represent the reverse. It is on the ribbon tight and I want to screw with the prongs as little as possible if you know what I mean.

The clasp/spange looks perfectly genuine Third Reich to me. Details, prongs, material, finish...

I concur with the others . One observation though, it seems to be void of veins on the outer feathers, something I've grown used to in regards of these spanges.

The lack of veins was one of the issues I had, but the over all look and feel of the spange help make me comfortable with it.

They looks like they pretend to be the same, but look at the detail of the oakleaves, no the same at all.
The "smile" on the eagles head is not the same either.

There's something about the first spange I do not like, some details are very good, like the oakleaves, but the pebbling in the number 9 seems to be missing, and also the missing veins on the feathers.


I tend to give the first eagle the thumbs down.
