German Cross in Gold Cloth Version

German Cross in Gold Cloth Version...obtained from Battle of the Bulge army veteran who claimed to have removed it from a tunic (no idea on the German's unit)...Appears to have much wear and tear along its edges and high spots especially on the black cross threads

I may be reaching here, but the band looks more silver than gold...just wear or could it be the silver version?

Nice cross! I also agree that this one appears to be a worn, gold finish.
