    For you Spanish Cross lovers...

Rare in it's own right but the only I've seen from this (unknown) maker with the integrated eagles.

    Dear Richard,

A lovely piece. Would you mind showing the reverse?

I love the Spanish Cross and like this one. The eagles have the emblem fully cut out which is a nice touch and it is in great condition. You did a nice job on the image and we all would like to see the reverse as well when you have the time. I am just waiting for Sal to get a look at this one - maybe it is the time difference on the Left Coast as I am sure this will grab his fiull attention. Who is writing the book on the Spanish Cross? There obviously are several "unknown makers" out there but I don't think they have been placed in a taxonomy yet. The only cross I have seen with the integral eagle is in bronze. Great catch! Best, Richard

I did not know that maker made anything but bronze! WOW! If you ever want to part with it better let me know , Jacques has too many and I feel he needs a 12 step program. So for his own good I will make the sacrifice

            Please do show the reverse!

            best, Sal

@Richard, I was at work or I woulda been all over this thread! Been checking everyday to see if anyone posted a new SC and this was worth the wait!

Thought you all might like that one!!

I didn't take the reverse pic yesterday but will tonight.

BTW I have examined it under a loop and compared with a bronze example and they are identical. Both have the exact same die features.

@ Jacques : You are already top of the list.
@ Sal : Sorry Jacques has had a hand in for a long time. If you need shots for your book let me know your requirements.

It has the look of a true silver piece, is it actually not just a silver finish? Any silver mark?

It's just a silver finish. No marks anywhere.

                      Thanks Rich

I like these silver crosses without sword. It took me some time to get a fine one, and your one looks beautiful with very fine silver wash.

Thanks for the photos Rich. This baby is going in my files.

Poor Jacques, you are what they call an "enabler" in the 12 step world
