DKIG 20 Question

I would like opinions on the DKIG shown below. It looks good to me. What do you think?
I have seen the heavy type DKIG 20 marked crosses with all black rays and also seen some with gold rays between the black.

I have seen the heavy type DKIG 20 marked crosses with all black rays and also seen some with gold rays between the black. Which is correct and is one worth more than the other?

They were manufactured all "black" if you will. When worn, the black tended to wear off the rays that stuck out above the rest. There have been documented cases where the awardee actually rubbed the back off some or all the black rays for look.

I would suspect the less rays worn, the higher value (ie. closer to non worn or mint).
