kvk l15 original?

I have read a lot about this medal. it seems that there is a lot of different ideas on its originality. what is the latest thinking? I can pick it up for 100$ I am posting the image links.

I can not get photos but the top of the case has the outline of the kvk1 medal. so the very bottom is missing. does this add any value to the cross? It is mine for 100. if original I think this is a fair price. am I correct? thanks
