100 -Rudolf Wächtler & Lange- EK / RK

Interesting subject, we can suppose there is some similarities, in terms of construction about the ribbon ring or details of the inner frame between EK.2.1939 made by Wächtler & Lange and their supposed RK. I made this comparison as Zimmermann-Godet EK.1.1939 share a very similar design concerning the inner frame with Zimmermann-Godet RK.1939.
As you illustrated in your latest book “The Iron Cross of 1939” in page 51, EK.2.1939 made by RW&L (ring stamped 100) are very specifics, the ribbon ring retainer is attached to a small lug projecting from the upper arm of the cross. (see pic below).
In my opinion, it’ll be very interesting to compare the inner frame of Knight's Cross which looks 100% OK, but doesn't match any of the known recognised makers with inner frame of EK.2 and E.K.1.1939 made by supposed makers of RK.
