Can you describe the crosses made for the Waffen-SS or how about any good crosses that you would suggest for the ek1.

                I love this part.

By the way, how can that SSman get a L/16 ? I think he might need to buy one...and maybe eveyone could buy as well...if they brought their award docs and money.

                  Indy,

Did one have to prove that they were awarded the medal in order to purchase a wearer's copy?

                          Maj Konig,

As has been mentioned in this thread, the EKs were made for all services. There were no special EKs made for any of the services.

If you a relooking for a nice EK, you need to decide if you want pinback or screwback, flat or vaulted (I assume you are talking WWII pieces), brass core, iron core, shiny or flat black core etc. It's all a matter of taste. There are a number of very nice EK makers. Some of the ones who have a nice EK are 26, 65, 11 and 4.

You might want to purchase one of the fine books out on the EK to assist you in your pursuit of this award. Gordon Williamson and Stephen Pretrivera (sp?) have 2 good books out which cover the EK in detail. You can also read over the various threads right her on the forum to get some good info. There is even one thread where people voted on their favorite EK maker.

                          Hope this helps.

"Ps" dont go for what some sellers say, they do it for the money.
