Thank you for your comments! It’s a nice one for sure, definitely growing on me.

The felt insert is in there pretty tight so I don’t plan on trying to remove it. I’m afraid if I do I will damage either the insert or case – or both

Not a bad L/50 Rob, have in mind they are identical whit any Zimmer. They did use the same frames, pin´s and cores. And the letter is not for that L/50, as any L/ EK is a private purchase made off the reciver.

Yes, I know they shared many of the same parts. I am also well aware that ‘L’ marked pieces were private purchase items; obviously this is not the cross that was awarded with the document. This is, however, the cross that this individual actually wore, so I don’t see anything wrong with displaying the two together.
