1939 / 57 : Iron cross 1. class 1914: is this a genuine piece

I have this cross: is it a genuine piece or a collecters piece?

It seems strange to have a 1957 version if the 1914 EK.

Any thoughts on this piece appreciated. The cross is the same size as 1939 EK's and not the same size as 1914 crosses. The detail on the crown is minimal compared to original crosses.
