    Maker Marks

    Question to all:

    I am trying to understand what drives the price differences between different maker marks of the same cross.

    Is it down to the number produced ie less produced = scarcer = more expensive?

    Or is it down to the differences in manufacture quality between different makers?

    Also there seem to be more sought after makers such as MM100, MM20 and MM134 etc why is this?

    Also please feel free to let me know who your personal favourite maker is and why.

    I think that both of the reasons you list apply as to why some EKs are more expensive than others. And as to why some people concentrate on just certain manufacturers, I guess it's just a matter of personal preference. You never know what people will decide to collect!
