Just curious and trying to get an idea as too reletive rarity of the S@L subtypes, How many of our members own or have owned a 800/4. Also was it cased or uncased, mint or showing period wear...........Thanks for any and all replys... Jimmy

Do you by chance have any pictures left. E-mail me and I will send pictures of mine. Seems they are one of the rarer variants of the S@L series. Also any known history would be of interest. Seems I have encounted 2 so far that were direct vet bringbacks. After examining the "dent row" on the 3 oclock arm under magnification. It looks as though their manufacture paralells or slightly precedes the 935/4 crosses. Maybe they went ahead and finished off their 800 silver sheets, left over from production before the die went bad. Then resuming full blown production with 935 silver sheets till the end of the war. Just a theory...................Jimmy

This one was marked exactly the same as the beat up one I sent you photos of last year. Both the 800 mark & the 4 being an incuse relief.
