            The 935-4 have all what I called 'painted' frosting, i.e. a kind of coating simulating the earlier used chemical etching.

            Sometimes one can find spots where the 'paint' or coating didn't reach. This can be seen quite regularily on 935-4, sometimes more sometimes less. It's no overpaint from the core!

                The discoloration, creep, patina or whatever it may be called shows up frequently on all S&L Crosses. It's not limited to the 935/4 but is evidenced on the Crosses with the chemical etching as well.

                It is found 'ABOVE' the frosting suggesting it's a process of ageing and a bleed of sorts.
