Show us your DKiS here !!!

With the current interest in the DKiS any members with one pleasepost a pic here. Any stories of the recipients greatly appreciated. They may not be as well known as the DKiG but are harder to find, they are indeed a fine piece of wehrmacht award history

To guote Angolia from his For Fuhrer and Fatherland series, he states that there were approximately 30,000 German Crosses in Gold awarded while there were only 1,200 awarded in silver. This should make an original DKiS actually far more rare than an RK, or even a Glider Pilot's Badge. I've always been fascinated at how many appear to have been manufactured versus how many were actually awarded.

No, this thread is about a German Cross in Silver, as one can see.
