To guote Angolia from his For Fuhrer and Fatherland series, he states that there were approximately 30,000 German Crosses in Gold awarded while there were only 1,200 awarded in silver. This should make an original DKiS actually far more rare than an RK, or even a Glider Pilot's Badge. I've always been fascinated at how many appear to have been manufactured versus how many were actually awarded.Ignored Due To Invisibility.
