Thanks Darrell. As you can see from my first post I knew it was good because Tom Hansen helped me pick it out. I just couldn't remember the maker. I figured I'd let William talk his way back and forth until he comes to the right conclusion. That is how we learn and he is doing a stand up job of it.

      Don,
I believe these are 100% original as well. Detlev list them in his book as a type "F" but doesn't attribute them to a speciffic maker. Yours is only the fifth example I've ever encountered of this pattern. All have been in silver and unmarked (they may come in gold, I've just never seen one). I have an identical example in my collection. It's actually pretty heavy at 65.4 grams.

          Hello

I too like this, and believe that it is an original item. My first impression on looking at the pictures of it was that it is a Godet produced piece, and after looking through some of my reference books I still feel that it is a Godet DK.

Either way, in my opinion, a nice original DKiS.

          Regards
          David

            wreath

            Hello again,

Well does the wreath date look like other Godet or Deschler examples out there?

              Hi Don,

I've had two Dk's by Godet and they both matched George's Cross.
The reverse ~ hinge, pin, clasp and rivets are definitely different than yours. Either Godet changed at some point or your cross is made by an unknown maker.

              Cheers,
              Tim
