    My friend the postman!

    Hi,

    Did you know that when you've forgotten somewhat nearly and count straight on nothing new?
    And in this moment the bell rings twice and the only person who ring in this kind is the postman.
    And then the memory came back in my tired head.
    This must be two new EK 2 which I exchanged for a PAB with a friend in collecting.
    On the photos he sent tome they looked fine but as i open the packet i don't believe my eyes. They are more beautifully than I would ever have thought.

    The first is an unmarked "100" (Waechter &Lange/Mittweida) and the second is a 113mm (Hermann Aurich/Dresden).

                    Very nice ek´s, and imo the frosting on ek´s were put on the hole frame, ribbonring and smallring. Then the frames were polished, you can very clear see on this ones frosting left on rings and maker mark. I also have a 100 that almost all frosting i left on the ribbon ring.

                        Both crosses are beautiful especially that 100! A mm100 with the majority of its frosting left is at the top of my EKII wants-list

                          I think you're right. You cannot see it on the photos but particularly on the polished part of the frame from the "113" you find rests of the frosting paint. You can only see it when you take it in the correct angle to the sun. Then it looks like the whole frame where frostet.

                          Also i read it that the last point in the process of manufacturing EKs is to polish the frame.

                          In the thread Photos of Iron Crosses being manufactured... you can read that too and exspecially on page 2 there is an illustration of the individual production steps that make it a fact.

                            Very nice Andreas. The "100" s are found in this minty condition more often than many other EK2s. I have one myself and I doubt it will be sold any time soon. 113 is unusual in both the condition as well as maker mark. Nice examples
