cased EK2 in Estand

Just looking on estand and saw a cased EK2 for sale 390 Euro as a hard to find set, I'm puzzled and must ask the following,
1. Why does a LDO cased set not have a LDO EK2 L/## marked cross etc?
2. Would the set be worth alot more if it did have a LDO EK2 L/## marked cross in it?
3. Is this a obvious made up set and is the LDO box the only item of value?
I hope these questions do not upset the seller as they are not set out to offend, but I have my views and would just like to ask others their opinions.

You are correct - an LDO case should have a L/ numbered piece in it. If the number on the cross matched the number on the case then yes it would be worth more. I have a mint L/55 EK2 in a LDO case with L/55 stamped on the underside in ink that I bought from DN last year, and also a non-matching cased EK2 bought ealy this year - but neither of them were as much as this! Both items are of value, but would be of more value if they were matching.

Yes a matched set is worth more but it is no rule that a LDO case must have a L/ numbered cross in it. These LDO cases are privat purchased items and could be used to store an EKII that whas already in the buyers possesion.
If you have more question on these LDO cases i recoment you to look at the packets and cases forum.

Look, if it's on the e-stand, and somebody paid the price, how is that ripping somebody off? If somebody was happy with the price, let it be. It's called a free market. You don't like it, fine, don't pay for it. But don't go knocking other people just cuz you're unhappy.

And as a note, I have nothing to do with any of the items, sellers, or buyers. I'm just expressing my opinion in general.

I'm pretty sure mickey knows that the e-stand is a market place, that you can buy what you want and sell what you want.
I think that "ripping off" is meant like : squeezing out as much as possible".

There have been some threads, not so long ago, about the "outrageous prices" that dealers ask for their goodies.
Most members agreed that it would be nice to keep the prices on the E-Stand "acceptable".

But that was a while ago.
At this moment a great part of the items on E-Stand is on a price level that is higher then what dealers charge.
So far for the "let's keep the prices acceptable" subject.

If anybody is willing to pay these prices: go ahead, the quicker an overprieced (IMO) item sells, the more expensive the next one will get.

I too have got the impression that it DOES matter who the seller is.

first of all, I DON'T ripp people of, you really make me mad saying that on an indirect way. I really don't know why you are so damn upset about this SET, yes set I said, as I bought this like this, and as this could perfectly came out of the war like this. Saying that I put this together is just nonsense, and just a useless argument to get everyones attention about your view on the price.

Second, please try to find me some other sets on the net that are cheaper!? Oh,and why not share yours with us right? They probably grow on threes over there.

Third, if this is my price, this is my price, I never forced someone to buy it, and I never will. Apparentely you haven't looked yet at dealers, what they would ask fo this (Luckely for you or you would have several hearth attacks)

And next time, when you would like to accuse someone about total nonsense and scream it out loud, don't try it with me, it won't work.

Mickey never stated that you put this set together.

Of course it is your set, and you free to ask what you want, AND you can't force anyone to buy it.....

But IMO it's priced on the high side as well.
After all it's a 290 Euro case....

1. ANYONE that interjects themselves into another member's attempted sale and makes comments like Mickey did are not only uncalled for, but are not what e-stand is all about. Skip's been around the block. I'm sure he's know's what's good and what isn't.

For the record, it sure seemed to me Mickey accused Giel of ripping people off by putting together a set ....

2. As far as prices ... I agree some are at the high end ... but if there are no takers you drop the price until someone bites ...

If you guys don't agree, come to me with your first offer when you sell your house or Car. I'll gladly take it off you for less than what the dealers sell

3. Half the time e-stand reminds me of a garage sale. Everyone wants something for nothing. If thats the case keep the yap shut and let others buy the item in peace if they think it's a good deal.
