    EK1 one piece fake?

    Hello Gents,

here comes an unusual one piece EK1. It has a plain surface in the arms and a quiet thin screw thread.
I am not sure whether it is a real one or a copy.

Maybe one of you can say more about that cross.

I saw a piece similar to this at a show recently. Is it magnetic at all?

I'd appreciate comments that were a little more substantive than cartoons....

                        @ George

                        it is non-magnetic.

To the fitting: In "The Iron Cross Of 1939" page 132 is the same backside with srew, plate and lacking projecting pin depicted.

It were quit interesting to find out whether this cross is an one piece construction or not.

IMO a nice and early original! I would gladly take this "fake" out of your hands Franki

I am not sure about this one.
I haven't got this one in my files and I haven't seen one like this before.

It looks repainted but that doesn't mean it's a Fake.
I hope some people here on the Forum have more experience with these one piece EK's.

Maybe more detailed pictures will help.

                            Regards,
                            Luud
