    DKiG Group

I have been trying to reseach the "market value" of a cased DKiG with award document to a member of a panzer unit with very little luck. Going through the threads it looks like the document might be worth maybe $1500, the medal maybe $2,000. and so forth. What about as an original grouping to one person? I hate to ask this question and I know there are a lot of variables such as if the person was RK winner, early badge, etc. but can I get some idea without going into a lot of granularity? My opologizes, but I have not been able to come up with a comparable example after looking at the dealer sites. I guess maybe they don't come up that often? Any assist would be appreciated and I recognize this is a very lame thread! Sorryt for that but I have come up empty.
    Thanks

You don't say if it's the formal or preliminary doc, by the price you're thinking of i'm assuming it's the formal.

The unit and for what he was awarded it has an effect on the price. Some units, battles and theaters are more popular than others.

Is there any way of linking the badge to the document? If not you can't really add to the value by saying they belong to each other. Either way it's a partial group.

The person who won it as well has an influence on price but then again this only reinforces your problem of me not answering the question....you could always post here and see what prices come back - you never know - you might get what you are looking for.

As stated, 'it all depends'. The price you stated would be for an awardee in a 'common' tank regiment. However, should your grouping belong to one of the more famous tank regiments (11th, 8th, 5th, GD) then I would add an additional amount to the price you listed. Many, of course, would debate what exactly defines 'famous'? I'll leave that to the individual panzer collectors but, as I see it any AK tank regiment would demand a higher price and the 11th which v. Opeln and Bake commanded. Hope this helps.

By the way, which regiment did your recipient serve with?

this is impossible to estimate, there are too many variables

This type of grouping, if original, would certainly yield more than 1500-2000. Anyboday agree? I would say this ocul dbe sold for 3000-3500

is what you have to do is add up the individual prices for all the items and put it together and you have your total price,
most collectors like to see the group stay together but it does not make it worth more
