    EKII Austrian Fold, Imperial?

I have just run across an Imperial Austrian fold EKII. I understand the 1939 EKII Austrian fold as quite numerous but I have never seen, until now, an EKII Austrian fold Imperial.

Any comments on how rare these are. Are they rare? Did they really exists?

    Thanks in advance

I have three Austrian tri-fold ribboned 1914 EK 2s -- two regular and one Prinzengrosse.

Thanks George, are these as common as the 1939.

I have run across Austrian trifold ribbons in the past, was quite common, and was used even though the Third Reich war years. I wouldn’t necessary pay a substantial amount more for it just because it is this way.

Dez is right. The tri-fold style ribbon mount does not make the cross worth substantially more -- maybe just a few dollars. (They're nice, though!)

Thanks guys, I didn't pay a whole lot more, but I was hoping it was worth a whole lot more.

It is quite different and adds to my display.

              Is it maker marked?
For rarer 1914 EK’s look out for ones from rare makers or silver stamped pieces.

It is maker marked but I can't make it out. I'll take a picture and see if I can zoom in. I'll post it here as soon as I take it.

Here is the mark. Does anyone recognize this mark?

I've never been able to find an ORIGINAL 1914 trifold myself... years of ordering "originals" from all over in pre-Internet days without exception always brought in replica rayon ribbons, not silk originals.

I have an 1914 tri-fold, I'll post a picture when I get home. If I remember correctly, it used to belong to Tiffin and I got it in a trade with him.

Here are both. Anyone recognize that maker mark above?
