New German Cross in gold

Hi everyone.

I want to share with you my last piece. An almost mint condition DK in gold, heavy type "20".
Could anyone tell me how to clean or prevent the stains in the silver circle around the swaz arms?

Cleaning ...

If you search, you will see dozens of threads on cleaning.

Bottom line, in my view -- do not even think about it.

Here the stains look huge, but I would like to prevent any more in future.

Beautiful cross and I agree with Mike,I wouldn't bother to clean it at all.

Hi.
What you think is a stain,may in fact be a loss of the silvered finsh.Or it could be that some of the flux used in soldering the swaz has discoloured with time.
