Cased L/11 EK2 and EK2 spange

Hello, this is a L/11 marked EK1 I just received in the mail yesterday. It retains almost all of its frosting and is in super condition. It came with a near mint LDO case. The core may have been repainted however, I noticed some black on the beading. All opinions app.

I don't know it was good luck or bad luck. If I got it at that time, I wouldn't have enough fund to get JMME pilot badge. It's difficult to state good or bad. At least this beauty is in your hand not out of this forum. BTW, who made this LDO case? Can you see any maker mark in it?

Indy badge and case is put away now,wife is sleeping, I dont want to wake her. I took the pics. today before I went to work in daylight. I will look at the case tomm. more closely. where are the marks on the cases usually? I dont remember anything jumping out at me.

Mike, IMO the spange is no good
I've had long conversations about this one in the past, and it brings out alot of differing opinions. But I've seen it marked, and finished (and unfinished) in a number of ways. I always want to know more opinions about it though, and I hope some other members weigh in on this here
but for me, no good, easy to spot also, with the excess metal under the numeral '1'. I'm thinking it's an almost exact copy of a legit one
