Hi all,

Please give your opinion about this cross in the link below....is it worth the € 120,- ?.
Any idea about the makermark ? is it a Zimmermann (20 & L/52) ?

Hi Ron,
The cross is definately a Zimmermann and a very nice example at that. For 120 euro's I would buy it in a flash. With the Zimmermann you already have, is it a brass centre? If so and you want to sell it to finance this cross, let me know and I will buy your one off you.

I just tested the "brass core" cross with a magnet.....but the core is magnetic!!
Brass is not magnetic according to my knowledge (?)
How is this possible ?

Dear Ron,

It is just a coating of brass (sometimes copper) over an iron core. Looks like brass, but is just covered iron.
