The one you show, and the one that started this thread are in my opinion not from the same die, to many differencies.
Pebbling/no pebbling, numbers tuouching the datebar/numbers not touching the datebar, shoulders look different and some more.

The differences in the shoulders might be due the different shot orientations, ie, the one started this thread is taken more at an angle, so it's not clear whether there are the same leftover or unfinished edges around the dips on the wings. There looks to be some on Weitze's. My obsevation is that Mayer's often exhibit these charateristic on the wings' dips and under the beak area, at least on zinc-er piece. With earlier productions or the ones which still have their silver finish, it's difficult to see this imperfection. Take a look at the one G. Stimson posted, on the wings dips areas. Also, observe some waviness around the top part of the 9, the first nine, and the 3. The silvering almost hides this.

Which pebblings were you talking about, the ones on the year bar or the Swazis?

I'm more inclined to see more commonness regarding the year bar. There seems to be a slice on the border above the right side of the top of the "3". It could be just something hard or sharp that greased the border.

If only the owner of the piece could retake a head-on shpt with only natural lights, we could see more clearly what the real finish on the Spange would look like as it looked to be a different kind of grey colour.

The Spange from Wetize has no pebbling at all, so doesn't matter if We talk swaz or daterbar.

It's my bad. I didn't post an enlarged image of the pebbling areas. It's item #185580. I was using Weitze's loop function when comparing the two above.

I also have no problems with the L/18 spange. Clearly a later war flawed example, like many producers had some.

......btw the thing that stands above the date bar is not an unfinished bdate bar but the reverse prong.
